(inter)National Scrapbooking Day 2021

Hello Lovelies, and Happy iNSD!

I have a project (with process video) to share with you all on this very exciting day for papercrafty types!

There is a YouTube hop with lots of creative girls sharing layouts with the theme "For the Love of Scrapbooking".  Scroll down for the link to my process video whre you can find the full like up to the Blog Hop in the description Box.

Also, Sara Scraps has rounded up a collaboration of three Facebook groups where making one challenge will put you in the running across all three groups for a ton of prizes (aptly named the One Challenge Wonder)!

I ended up combining the two since I was a bit uncertain how I'd fare time (and energy) wise.

One Challenge Wonder requires a little more explanation, so here are the deets...
Create a layout based on the sketch Sara has created using your stash, and incorporating sequins.

Bonus entry for prizes if you also incorporate a cut file.
To qualify:

You must be a member of Rediscover Your Stash
Spread The Sparkle and Cut To You HQ Facebook groups.

Post your layout in each group’s  One Challenge Wonder Album.
All Entries due by May 7th.
Winners will be chosen and announced no later then May 8th.

Here is where the wonder comes in...that one layout gets you an entry for 10-15 different prizes.
Most of the sponsors have offered multiple prize packs and gift cards.
Sara has donated 4 $5 ACOT gift cards as prizes as well...so there are TONS of prizes to be given out for this ONE challenge/project.

In addition, there will be some relaxed fun and games in RYS where each of us will share our project and entertain you while you take a break from the frenetic pace of some of the other Facebook groups.  All times are in EDT (think New York)

Sara 9am
Felicia 11am
Suzanna 1pm
Alex 5pm
Katie 9pm

Since Katie and I make up the Aussie contingent, we're on "night shift" supervision any US party animals during what is Sunday for us!

So here is the link to my Process Video

When ALL the Crafting Collides...

I'm really not sure how I found myself in this predicament. 🤷🤷🤷

Last weekend Anna's Craft Cupboard had a cyber crop and I have about 9 hours left to finish anything I want to submit for the challenges.  I have one layout done and one not.  Is that what I'm doing now?  No, but you'd be forgiven for thinking so!

Team B is scheduled to submit inspiration pieces for this coming week's TTCRD challenge.  Due tomorrow.  Not working on that just yet either!

Discovered I'm first to post a project with my newest design team position...on Monday! (Embellish With Flair)  I may get to that one!

Today happens to be the first Saturday in May which is always (inter)National Scrapbooking day,  It has long since been considered to be the whole weekend so that's what I'm running with!

It does happen to also be 4th May today which is World Star Wars Day.  Since it always happens on 4th of May and iNSD sometimes happens on 4th May, the occasional overlap is not unexpected.  Since I have a bit of a crush on Yoda, here to say hi to you he is:

I was still uncertain whether the universe was conspiring against me, the Spring/Summer Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog hop started on 3rd.

I'll definitely be making coffee cards and running a giveaway, but like the Winter one, I'll be starting late and finishing late I think.

So what exactly AM I doing then?  Well even without the newly released Ink Road Star Wars stamp sets, I figured I could pull off a mashup of all of the above.  After that extremely urgent project, I might get on with all the things I actually HAVE to do! 🤣🤣🤣

Love and working at warp speed!

Happy (Inter)National Scrapbooking Day!

Yes it's an actual thing!

(hope its OK to use this graphic - not sure who to give credit to)

It's the first Saturday in May, but scrapbookers tend to take the whole weekend to celebrate!   And yes I'm posting this on Sunday, but there are challenges running all weekend.   Shimelle is declaring the whole weekend and that's good enough for me!

So what am *I* doing?  You'll   be sorry you asked!

Adele Toomey aka Inkie Quill had a 12 hour live stream on Youtube which was fun...along with challenges in her Facebook group.  Hopefully I can create something.  Weekends are catch-up days.  Lots of washing and jobs.  Boo!

I thought I would give myself a semi-scrappy job.  This:

And believe me when I tell you that it's the most flattering angle of this disaster area.    So why don't I do something crafty and fuuuun?  Why indeed?

Turns out my excitement to get my stitches out on Thursday was short lived.  Yes this Crafty Mama has an infection in her incision.

Probably started a couple of days before, but I was being optimistic and hoping it was just over-ripe stitches getting irritated.

Honestly, who gets an infection 11 days post-op?  Immunosuppressed peeps that's who.   Double boo.

So how much scrappy tidying did I do yesterday?  Ummm...not an awful lot so I shall make an earnest effort today as I wait for more of Shimelle's challenges. I also heard rumours that her sparkly friend is going to make an appearance as part of the celebrations!  Oooh!

So what are YOUR plans?
