Cat Lovers Hop Project #7 Costumes for the Unsuspecting Cat

 Hello Lovelies

I kind of fell off the wagon a bit with projects. Yet another weather change had my at the mercy of my defective body!  The giveaway doesn't close for another 36 hours, so I will take you back to the Cat Catwalk for one last project.

The others I might have to do (just for fun) over the coming weeks.  Buoyed by the success of the neckwear, this is how I imagined things would turn out:

What I actually got (Fitz then Pheephs):

I failed to appreciate my secret weapon - one TallCraftyDude waving Da Bird (Mr Fitz's second favourite toy) which got distraction from what he was wearing and great poses.

Being home alone meant the photos were not going to be as good anyway for this reason alone.  The other is that Fitz's costume (while lots of fun when I saw it online (and pattern followed more or less closely)) was  sewn in a rather mad hurry since I wasn't feeling well.  I definitely know what I'd do to improve it next time (if there is one) at least.

The Great White

See how his colouring morphs from a dapper morning suit to a perfect great white shark?!  I thought for sure it would appeal to his rugged masculinity!

I tried spraying the whole elastic a dark grey, but it dried lighter so another lesson learned there.

Little Flower

I thought this was an apt choice for Miss Ophelia (aka Pheephs or PhiPha).   She didn't exactly agree.  And she was a little less polite in saying so.

Well I'll be sleeping with one eye open tonight, that's for sure!

Giveaway Prizes

🐱 Update! Since my first project (the cat masks) caused so much excitement, the three winners of the physical prizes can pick a cat fabric and I will make a mask to go with their prize (if they would like one).

Please understand that I can't do it for the electronic gift card prize, since it would mean shipping costs and the value of the gift card takes into account that I don't have to spend money on shipping.  Thanks so much!

  1. Ophelia does not look happy at all, and Fitz is very kind to model your makes! The fin looks good!
I did get a small tiara at one point to put on Coco. I balanced it on her head long enough to snap a quick pic or two, and she let me get away with that!

  2. OH MY GOODNESS.....this just made my day (or rather, my night...as it's definitely bedtime).Fitz makes such a handsome shark...and hardly scary at all. On the other hand, Miss Ophelia's look would have me locking the door, haha! That flower costume makes her the belle of the ball...even if she doesn't agree.
    Still chuckling here...

Your kitties look so adorable! Fitz and Ophelia are beautiful in their costumes, although, Ophelia looks pretty miffed! Your costumes are awesome! Great designs and great sewing! You are so talented! 9. I think that Fitz might be my new kitty crush, lol! He looks like such a laid back cat, and so accommodating. Of course, now I have the theme to Jaws stuck in my brain.
Miss Ophelia is cracking me up big. She looks so adorable, except for her expression! Thanks for making my day with this Cat Walk presentation.

Invest some energy perusing feline sites, magazines and books to gain proficiency with somewhat about the varieties that you are keen on, and whenever you have settled on which kind of feline is ideal for you set aside the effort to concentrate all that you can about them prior to purchasing. pet online store
