Arty Divas DT 22 Oct and Cat Lovers Hop Project 1

Hi Lovelies!

Today is Challenge 7 at Arty Divas.  This is a FORTNIGHTLY "anything goes" (any type of project and any theme) challenge with a design team who makes projects showcasing the sponsor who often offers PRIZES!

This week we are using images by Rick St Dennis.
The prize is a stamp and die set so head on over to the Arty Divas challenge post to win!
(This is unrelated to the Cat Lovers Hop!  Scroll down for the deets on that)

I'm still practising with better blending, shading and general colouring of animals.  I didn't do a stellar job on the body, but the face is a bit better than I've done before.  Black is particularly challenging, but I really need to purchase refills for my lighter markers!  🤷

After colouring as best I could, I fussy cut her and and attached foam dots to the back.  I picked the
paper for the background from an older Crate Paper 6x6 pad and machine stitched some strips to the top.

After this I attached the card front to the base, attached our fine feline and (with some surgery to make it fit) attached this perfect Dyan Reaveley sentiment.

Just a few pearl cabochons attached with Micro and Mini Glue dots to finish and done!

OK now to the giveaway part:

Giveaway CLOSED!

📌 I have three items (and a bonus fourth prize) to give away (pictured below) and I'll pull three names for the first three prizes.
📌For the  fourth "bonus" prize: it will go to someone who has entered the main blog hop (please let me know your project numbers if you would like to be considered.  You can wait til the blog hop is over to do this since they change sometimes.)
📌 The first name drawn gets first choice, second name gets second choice and so on.  Bonus prize will be TallCraftyDude's favourite project!
📌 This Giveaway is NOT SPONSORED.  I purchased the prizes especially for this giveaway.  This year I picked stuff other than just stamp sets to mix it up a bit!  In the even the items I purchased are on back order, I'll purchase something similar in their place and update the list below. Thanks for understanding!

The prizes you get to pick from are:
This hysterical Art Impressions stamp set called "Catastrophy".  Perfect for the Spoonie stamper (or if you know one!)

There is a Dyan Reaveley stencil called "It's Raining Cats" (this one is mine, but yours will be brand new, obvs! 😉)

An American Crafts "Coloring Notebook"

Lastly, the bonus prize will be an electronic gift card to the online crafty store of your choice to the value of $20 AUD (approx $13 USD, £10 GBP, €12 Eur etc.  May vary depending on exchange rate)

You will receive an entry (or entries) for each of the following.  You absolutely don't have to do everything - just how ever many you like.

If you have previously followed my socials then these are already counted for you!  (unfollowers will not be counted)
📌 The giveaway will remain open until 11:59PM AEDT on Monday 28 Oct (a whole week from today).  Please visit THIS SITE to calculate in your own timezone
📌 The winner will be drawn on Weds 30 Oct so PLEASE CHECK BACK HERE
❗If the winner and I can't make contact by Weds 6 Nov, I will have to draw a new winner since I need to get these prizes out all together.
❗Please try to email me at alex@pinkcraftymama.com This really is the easiest way for me to get in touch with you since not all blogger profiles have an email attached and if you JUST leave comments, I have no other place to search for you.

Siamese cats have always been my favorite. Such beautiful coloring and I love the way they are so talkative!

I have always loved Siamese kitties with their pretty blue eyes. But there are so many gorgeous cats in this world and truly, I adore them all. (I follow you everywhere! haha).

  9. Alex, you are a total sweetheart to have these awesome giveaways on your blog during the Hop!! Many thanks for your generosity and for making it that much more fun!!! <3

I adore your beautiful black cat. We have several black cats at our house, but I never can color a stamped image to look right for a solid black. I am VERY impressed with your FABULOUS kitty...so classy with that fancy hat, too! That mousie better be careful!! lol...

I am already a follower here on your blog, and over on FB and IG. Yay!!!

Thank you so much for playing along in the #2019CatLoversHop!

    1. Ooops....I knew I was forgetting something. My favorite breed/pattern is a brown mackerel tabby......what we would have called an alley cat when I was growing up!! My first kitty was one of these. Although I find other breeds stunningly gorgeous, a regular domestic shorthair brown tiger-stripe tabby is my "comfort cat"....kind of like chicken pot pie is "comfort food". My favorite. Purrrr....

    2. That's such a lovely thing to say, but it's YOUR hard word that makes it all possible. I LOVE doing giveaways so it's my pleasure! I'm still working on my solid black cats, bit I'm getting closer! I love the concept of a comfort cat! Thanks so much for visit and entering my giveaway!

  11. Hello, Alex! I love your gorgeous kitty with her fancy mouse hat! Love your beautiful colouring and that fabulous sentiment! You are way too hard on yourself for your colouring - I think it looks AMAZING and I wish I could colour like that! Thank you for the awesome and very generous giveaways! Please count me in! I already follow your blog, IG (fitkit2018), and FB (Karen Garber). I don't use FB or IG much; in fact, I almost forgot my passwords when I logged in today hehe. My favourite kitty has always been grey/black tabby but I also love all-white kitties. Your generosity is much appreciated - you are PAWSOME!

  12. Adorable card and quite the elegant puss. Lovely coloring and purr-fect sentiment. And what fabulous giveaways. WOW! I'm already a follower on all 3 social platforms, although I"m more of a "lurker" at times. My favorite breed of cat is anything fluffy, although the extra vacuuming is a bit of a PITA and cat hair is hardly my fave fashion accessory. I always wanted a Himalayan because my first kitty was a Siamese, but short haired. Thanks so much for a chance to win. xxD

    1. Thanks for the visit - I'm often a lurker too! I love fluffy as well but I hear you about cat hair! A vac with a good pet attachment helps, but we always wear cat hair with pride!

  13. Elegant card really love what you did. Those are great fun stitches added great depth too. Im a follower of all your social media platforms. My favorite breed is Donskoy cat. I love cats and dogs but my son had asthma and I had to give them away, so much pain and hurt watching them go and they glared at me sorrowfully.. The painful guilt in me. Thanks as always for your generous giveaways.

    1. Oh I love Donskoy (and Sphynx) too. Hubz not so much. I'm sure they understood and are happy in their new home. You did right by looking after your son's health. As an adult we can make the choice to have them despite allergies, but to do it to a child isn't right, so please don't feel bad.

  14. Hehe such a fab project, perfect catitude! You are so kind doing a giveaway too, my entries on the blog are 16, 42 and 96. I couldn't really choose a fave cat colouring as I could cause offence at home so it would have to be joint first place for colour point, tuxedo and ginger! Jenny x

I already follow you on all platforms and appreciate your generosity in having this giveaway. My favourite colour of cat ... hmmmm ... 21. Your card is so beautifully colored! I have trouble with coloring black cats, but this elegant lady is pure perfection. My favorite breed of cat is the Scottish Fold (although I've never had one..I'm a fan of shelter cats), and I love a tuxedo cat color and pattern the most. I already follow you on Bloglovin' IG, and Facebook!
